ABOUT US

About our company
Our company has its origins in the middle of the 20th century. At that time, our family business was already trading in carpets worldwide. When Mohammad Bagher Haghnegahdar, one of the co-founders of the German Carpet Shop, took over the management of the company in 1965, it gained worldwide importance and became a known name in the carpet industry.

Get to know us personally
To give you a better impression, we have prepared a video in which you can get to know us better.

In the beginning, our company had a branch in a traditional bazaar in the south of Iran. However, at the time of the Gabbeh trend in the mid-1980s, the German Carpet Shop completely retooled and the company thus expanded its production capacity for worldwide trade. We hired over 1000 carpet weavers and produced more than 30000 square metres of carpets in one year. As a result, our company gained importance in the carpet industry.

In the meantime, we have had another branch in Hamburg for more than 20 years in order to be able to offer our European customers the best possible service. Furthermore, we produce our carpets not only in Iran, but also in Nepal and India.

What distinguishes us from other companies
We are characterised by honest work. We maintain a good relationship with our employees. We use our own wool for our carpets, which we obtain from our flocks of sheep in Iran. We achieve the richness of colour in our carpets through natural plant dyeing processes. This is how we create our authentic products, of which we are proud.

Since our international establishment in early 2000, we have received various recognitions and awards for our achievements. For example, we are a 10-time winner of the nationally recognised Trade and Export Specialists in Iran and multiple nominees at the Domotex Design Awards.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. You can reach us via our chat service and the contact details provided. Of course, we also look forward to your visit to our warehouse in Hamburg.
